The rain reminds me of that scorching day two people at a well

He had the power to set her free from her life that was her cell

He knew all the things that poisoned her life down to the last affair

She never knew a love so deep never knew a man to care

I'm reminded of Your love by the rain that falls

It soaks my heart with hope despite my many flaws

I fear to know where I would be without you by my side

The rushing water flows I'm caught up in Your tide

The rain reminds me of that stormy night grown men were scared to death

They saw a man standing on the sea the sight of it took their breath

He said it's Me don't me afraid they were faced with a choice

He proved to be who He said He was He silenced a storm with His voice

The rain passed right by soaking the ground to the bone

Reminding me of that night when the power of God was shown

The rain can make a dying plant live

Just like the woman who talked with the One who gave her the water of life
